Unconditional Love

Unconditional love,
Found me trapped in my pain
Mmmm that unconditional, that original love
Gave me hope back again

The Father feels for his child
Jesus hears each cry
But it took far more than sympathy
For him to win for me
A joy that will never run dry

Well it was late on in the evening
And the seahore sure seemed so remote
To those twelve scared disciples
In a small fishing-boat

Cause the storm clouds they were gathering
Gathering high overhead
And it looks like a bad one
That’s what the fishermen said
-
But my Jesus lay sleeping
Just as peaceful as the dove
He was dreaming of a carpenter
Or maybe of unconditional love
-
then the waves they started hopping
and lightning started popping
and the rain began to drop and it
gave no sign of stopping

and once the storm got going
that wind was really blowing
the sea it overflowed and the
sky sank down below

and you tried to keep from showing
what you couldn’t keep from knowing
that this ship was going going going down

Unconditional love
Well it’s often hidden from my sight
I’m calling Jesus why aren’t you there for me?
Lord I know you don’t care for me?
Well I’m just like those disciples that night

Unconditional love
Lift me, lift me, lift me way up above
Lift me up there, up where I can’t breathe
Though I know Lord, how soon I’ll have to leave
Cause I’m not ready to meet my saviour
It’s not time for me to go up on high
I’m not ready yet ready to meet him
Many times I’ve still got to cry
But on that morning!
On that blessed morning
When my soul is new risen
I will make that last transition
Into his Unconditional Love

ja edessäsi tyhjyys vaan on tie.

Tahdon tietää mitä tiedä en
tahdon ottaa elämäni vaikka opikseen
miten käy nyt, yksin Jumala tietää.
Lapsi kun lähtee maailmaan
niitä katkeria katseita tavataan
jos se väsyy, uskon Jumala sen ymmärtää.

Tehdä taipaleeni
tästä aikuisuuteen
kai mä katkeroitumatta pystyisin,
jos toi luoja taivaallinen
nostais’ jalkani mun
joskus kaduilta tämän kaupungin.


Haaveri kun saatu,
niin saattaa satuttaa;
haaveittasi sortuu,
niin kipeästi harmittaa;
-
eikä // ole virheellistä,
eikä syntiä kysyä:
miksi, Jumalani, maailmasi niin masentaa?

Tahdon tietää mitä tiedä en
tahdon ottaa tämän elämäni opikseen
miten käy nyt, yksin Jumala tietää.
Poistun mä maisemista pian,
joo, mä lähden tieheni (tämän) maailmaan,
jos mä väsyn, uskon Jumala sen ymmärtää - niin ymmärtää!

Kaita on se katu
tästä ikuisuuteen,
mutta kävelystä kysymys on vaan.
Se siunattu tie edessäni etenee
vieden kotikaupungista maailmaan.

Child Of Promise

Child of promise, child of prayer
Son of sorrow and daughter of care

But she just can’t help you any more

Sometimes you’re lonely, sometimes sad
Feels like you’ve lost any good thing you ever had

But that’s not quite the kind of help you’re looking for

God Has A Way Of Seeing

God has a way of seeing
